So you DO need a daily dose of OILS to maintain health. Approximately, ~ 30% of dietary calories should be from fats. With AT LEAST 3% to be ESSENTIAL FATTY ACID’S (EFA) also known as Omega Fatty Acid’s OR “GOOD OILS”.
Lets do the math. NOTE: (every 1gram fat produces 9 kcal energy)
2000 kcal/day X 3% = 60 kcal/day EFA divided by 9 = 6.67 GRAM/DAY EFA needed in diet
1500 Kcal/day X 3% = 45 kcal/day EFA divided by 9 = 5 GRAM/DAY EFA needed in diet
1200 kcal/day X 3% = 36 kcal/day EFA divided by 9 = 4 GRAM/DAY EFA needed in diet…etc. This is baseline. Will need more if deficient (i.e. having any sx mentioned above).
Because, I am here to tell you, EFA = Good Oils, directly make our bodies prostaglandins (a.k.a hormone-like regulators) and eiconsinoids (a.k.a. master hormones)!

First must treat and/or fix and/or rule out fatty nutrient mal-absorption issue!
How To Test if you have a fat mal-absorption issue by eating a bolus of oil (either olive oil or EFA or fatty fish). if you have any sx of bloating, abdominal cramping or discomfort, nausea, fatty stools, then you know you have a fat mal-absorption issue, especially if history of gallbladder removal, hysterectomy, crohn’s or IBS or taking Cholestyramine, Colestipol, Orlistat, or Prolonged use of Mineral Oils which rob your of EFAs.
Second must treat fatty malabsorption by taking lipase or pancreatin (fatty digestive enzyme), lecithin, bile salts and apple cider vinegar (help absorb fats), and take your fatty nutrients in smaller doses with protein, water and probiotics (helps improve absorb of fats)

CAUTION: All oils when exposed to oxygen turn into a carcinogen. Refrigeration will retard the process but will not eradicate it.
Remove all oils – cooking and salad dressing – from you kitchen and your diet that are open and old!
CAUTION: Most oils when exposed to heat (temp > 150 degree) will also turn into a carcinogen. They say there are a few oils that can be used for cooking but olive oil is not one of them!!! While no oil can safely be used for frying, solid oils like COCONUT OIL or BUTTER are more stable and can be used iF you need a COOKING oils.
Remove fried foods from your diet!
ACTUALLY: Butter is Better than any oils if you have to fry. “Butter is a natural fat, not good, not bad. Useful for frying and easy to digest. But not necessary and in excess, dangerous.” (Did you know butter is just chilled and whipped heavy cream with a pitch of salt. Takes 5 minutes to make fresh.)
NOTE: As for margarine, it’s name come from a thin ‘margin’ between considering it a plastic (non-natural, chemically altered fat) and a food. Don’t eat, not healthy. Do not fry, unsuitable for frying.
CAUTION: Unless you are using fresh pressed, “VIRGIN”, unrefined (“crude”) oils, you are ingesting toxins. “ALL oils found in the supermarket, corner groceries, and conveniences stores are fully refined and deodorized. Don’t expect to find oils labeled “non-virgin” or “refined”. If an oil is NOT labeled “UNREFINED”, they ARE refined, deodorized oils which have sufficient nutrient losses and molecular changes that negatively affect human health”.
“THE EXCEPTION: VIRGIN OLIVE OILs are THE ONLY MASS market oil taht have not been heated above 150 degrees C.” Note: OLIVE OILS contains ~0.6% omega-3, ~10% omega-6 (making them a poor source of EFAs and do not account for the health benefits of olive oil). OLIVE OILS also contain ~75% omega-9 and ~2% omega-7 which are stable – important in Mediterranean climates before refrigeration – accounting for part of olive oils prominence throughout history. Omega-9 and omega-7 neither raise nor lower blood cholesterol – therefore do not account for olive oils health effects. OLIVE OILS contains ~10% Palmitic Acid (unsaturated/bad) – will raise cholesterol (obviously this does not account for the protective nature of olive oil) and ~2% Stearic Acid (unsaturated/bad)- will neither raise nor lower cholesterol. “ALTHOUGH ALL OF ITS FATTY ACIDS ARE COMMON TO ALL OILS AND ARE USED BY OUR BODY IN CELL MEMBRANES STRUCTURES AND AS FUEL, THE BENEFICIAL EFFECTS OF OLIVE OIL CANNOT BE ASCRIBED TO ITS FATTY ACID PROFILE. OLIVE OIL contains little lecithin (a.k.a phospholipid) which is good for health – still does not explain olive oils health benefits. IT IS THE MINOR COMPONENTS IN OLIVE OIL THAT BRING ABOUT THE HEALTH BENEFICIAL EFFECTS.
* Beta-sitosterol lower high cholesterol levels
*Triterpenic Acids have a healings and anti-inflammatory effect.
*Caffeic and Gallic Acids stimulate the flow of bile.
*Gallic Acid also inhibits lactic dehydrogenase activity in the liver (a sign of live malfunction)
*Phenolic compounds protect against peroxidation of fatty acids and cholesterol.
*2-phenylethanol (present in many unrefined oils) stimulate the production of fat-digesting enzymes in the pancreas
*triterpenic acids (oleanolic and maslinic – found only in olive oil) also stimulate these pancreatic enzymes.
*cycloartenol, stored in the liver, lowers the amount of circulating cholesterol and increases bile excretion (in studies done with rats).
*A combination of 2-phenylethanol and triterpenic acid slows down cholesterol digestion (cholesterol ester hydrolysis) and decreases cholesterol absorbption from foods. SUMMARY: OLIVE OIL is a poor source of EFA’s but an exceptional source of stable monounsaturated fatty acids and a rich source of unique minor components with health value. IF OUR EFA REQUIREMENTS HAVE BEEN MET, OLIVE OIL IS EXCELLENT FOR IMPROVING AND MAINTAINING HEALTH BECAUSE OF ITS NATURAL MINOR COMPONENTS.”
Cholesterol Drug Alert
if you have to take cholesterol lowering medications, because maybe you have already experienced an acute heart attack or had a stroke, then you must supplement with coenzyme q10! HMG CoA Reductatase Inhibitors, aka drugs that end in -statin, will rob you of a NON-essential raw nutrient known as Coenzyme Q10 from you body to the point that it will become a deplete resource and manifest troublesome symptoms, including: fatigue, muscle pain.
Must Supplement with coenyzme q10 while on -statins!
